Every one of our ASA maps runs the Alfa Stack mod, which raises stack sizes. It does that by remapping resources into its own versions — and that has two side effects for things made before the mod.

What you see
- Old resources don't merge into stacks with newly gathered ones.
- A workbench or crafting station shows wrong or old costs.
- A crafted resource such as Sparkpowder or Cementing Paste can't be made.
Why it happens
Stack mods remap resources into their own versions, and items gathered before the mod are not remapped. One stack mod's page says it plainly: "Old resources (before install the mod) are not stacking, this is normal" (TG Stacking Mod).
Alfa Stack's own page says "This mod remaps resources", and that in a world that already existed "it may be necessary to collect and replace all workbenches so that their recipes are updated". Its author also recommends loading it as the first mod, to avoid recipe conflicts.
The TG Stacking Mod page adds that crafted resources such as Sparkpowder and Cementing Paste "will need to be relearnt", using a Mindwipe Tonic if they were learned before the mod was installed. Alfa Stack's page does not say this, so treat it as a lead, not a rule.
