An inventory that refuses items, or items that seem to vanish after a transfer, usually mean one of two things: the stack cap, or a display that has not caught up. Rejoin before you report.

Black slots (ASE) or a black weight icon (ASA); you can't pick anything up, and items given or picked up past the limit vanish.
ASA: a black icon with an almost empty inventory, or inventory and hotbar items invisible after travelling to another server.
Cryopods gone from a Cryofridge after "Transfer All", or half your inventory missing after travelling — and everything back after a rejoin.

Both games cap a survivor's inventory at 300 stacks — stacks, not weight — and items forced past the cap vanish (our research of 04/09/2026; Steam, 2023).

ASA keeps unlocked cosmetics (skins, costumes) in a separate Cosmetics tab. In 2023–2024 players found that a full Cosmetics tab could cause the black icon and hide items after travel, and that moving the cosmetics into an empty vault made everything appear again (Steam). The update of 06/11/2024 (1.055.017) fixed it: "Cosmetics no longer affect inventory slot cap" and "Items should no longer be invisible in your inventory".

Often it is only the display: on our ASE Genesis: Part 2 in October 2026, Cryopods reported missing after "Transfer All" were all back in the Cryofridge once the player rejoined, with no admin or system action on the account.

Shop deliveries count your free room first, hand over only what fits and keep the rest waiting (Delivery: when your item does not arrive).

Count stacks, not weight: store or combine stacks.
ASA: open the Cosmetics tab and move skins into a vault; if items look invisible, move them into a container (Steam, 2024). Keep your game updated — the cosmetics bug was fixed in 1.055.017.
Leave and rejoin the map before you report items or pods as missing.
Keep free slots before collecting shop deliveries: you get an "Inventory full" line in game and a notification on the website, and the rest arrives by itself once you free room.
Do not die on purpose as a fix while carrying items: you would lose what you carry (Steam, 2024).
Still missing after a rejoin? Report it.

When items are still missing after a rejoin. An admin can check the account's audit log and what the hourly saves held in that container. For a shop order, the delivery records only what landed and never re-sends a line that may have landed; a line marked unverified is checked by an admin with you — use Report a problem on the order line.

Tell an admin the map, the time (the clock in your profile menu shows the server's time), your character's name, what you carried or had uploaded, and the exact message on the screen. For a transfer: both maps and both times. Report the same day — the backups reach back only about two days. Contact admin is in your profile menu; the Guides page has a question box.

Here, also name the container and where it stands.

Stay well under 300 stacks, especially before travelling or a fight (Steam, 2023).
After a transfer, rejoin once before you report anything missing.
